Date: 2009-09-13 09:41 pm (UTC)To ride up through the circles of Minas Tirith.
The tent Aragorn gets waked up in at Dunharrow.
Got:
Shadowfax.
Sigh.

::pittypittypitty::
So now, every time I hear Theoden shout , "Forth, Aer Lingus!", a little voice in the back of my head whispers "Pittypittypitty."
I blame you for this.

Date: 2009-09-13 10:52 pm (UTC)Anglo-Saxons had more or less normal-sized horses. Though mostly their thing was boats. (Sam Gamgee would not approve.)

Date: 2009-09-13 11:17 pm (UTC)Because I weep during that battle. "I am no man!"
Back of my mind, rattling around like a broken part. ::pittypittypitty::
Scars.

Date: 2009-09-14 02:53 am (UTC)I need to get the Director's cut to see if there are scenes with her and Faramir, because they just hint at a relationship and if anyone deserved a nice, long falling in love scene, it was Eowyn.

Date: 2009-09-14 03:27 am (UTC)But I want to come out onto the plains of Rohan, and have those clothes...though I also want Boromir's doublet...and a sword with better steel than any of mine except the one as well as better skill than I have. And a horse, of course, that is a)sound, and b)sane, and a body that has forgotten all the old injuries and still works right, which this one increasingly does not.
Minas Tirith...not so much. I belong in the field and forest.

Date: 2009-09-14 04:13 am (UTC)The horse wouldn't like living in a city. He'd love Rohan. Charm all the mares and get all the girls braiding flowers in his mane.
I'm sorry your horse is having problems. :( My geriatrics are hanging in; they like being ridin' hosses now they've given at the broodmare office.

Date: 2009-09-14 05:08 am (UTC)Illusion, who has the full tail, is talented at biting off osage orange branches (with thorns) and then dropping them on the ground, and then deciding to roll nearby so the thorny branch gets caught in his tail. Mac hasn't figured that one out yet, but he's the thin-soled tenderfoot who goes lame at the slightest excuse (I think the sight of a saddle, but also on soft ground). Mac's the drama queen, too.
But they'd both love Rohan. Illusion would find some toxic plant and eat it and have to be nursed back to health (been there, done that) and Mac would go lame regularly and dramatically, but they'd love it. No fences.
If I still had Ky, I'd want to ride up the circles of the city...but not either of these guys. First, though, Something would have to change with the hip.

Date: 2009-09-14 05:25 am (UTC)My lot need humans to worship them and be partners with them. Which is why I wonder if Tolkien knew about Vienna. All those white horses, and Shadowfax. Long-lived, waits for his one true person, understands the speech of Men...yep.
