The patient is home

I let Gaby off lead when we entered the backyard. She did her usual check of the birdbath area, then sniffed around. But it's hot, and she was thirsty and tired, so she came right inside. She's asleep on the couch now.

King was happy to see her. But now I think he wants lunch, and I want to hold off for a while. Gaby hasn't eaten since 6 y'day evening. Not a big gap, but I would like to try to feed her. She may not want to eat until tonight, but I have to try.

I have a bunch of instructions and info to read. The nurse said that it may never happen again. No one can say. Very much a step-by-step thing.

I'm hoping for "never happen again," personally.

My cat had a 'moment' a while ago, I think he fell and hit his head, and was a bit stunned and couldnt walk, was staggering and collapsed limply into my hands and I thought he was going to die right there. It was 11.30pm but I called my vet (in a panic) because she is AWESOME and takes those emergency calls. She talked me thru some tests and as we worked thru those he started to come right.

So I know EXACTLY how you feel and its HORRIBLE, and I check my boy quite regularly to see if he is breathing (he sleeps so soundly sometimes its not obvious)
