Yes, several reviews I saw said their mothers had had a KA stand mixer for many years and it worked just fine - at some point since then the company started using plastic gears instead of metal ones, and that's when it all went south, apparently. What a surprise, eh? But the company's stock got to skate on its former good reputation for a few years and that's all that counts, right?
