As luck would have it...
Oct. 15th, 2009 06:38 pmI stopped by the local feed store to ask them to order a small bag of the Natural Balance Venison & Sweet Potato Limited Ingredient Formula. It's a specialty blend, so I assumed they wouldn't have it in stock. As it happened, they had a bag that had been special-ordered, then declined. It was the 25-pounder, unfortunately, but if it works, it will last until the end of the year.
Gaby stood on her hind legs to sniff the bag as I carried it in. I gave her a very small amount mixed with her wet food, and it went over quite well. Switchover will be slow. Fingers crossed that the good reactions continue. A week ago at this time, she was one sick little girl. I never want to go through that again. I'm guessing that she doesn't, either.
She is very energetic, in part because she's been cooped up inside for several days. This weekend, it's supposed to dry out and rebound into the 50s, so I should be able to let her run her butt off then.
