Just letting you know that there are 3 days left in Brenda Novak's auction. I am offering a Jani gift basket containing books and goodies related to Jani's life.

Haven't seen a new bid for...quite some time.

Jani would really, really appreciate it. I mean, you may not be a fan, or you may already have the books. In either case, there are many other cool things to bid on.

But, you know, Jani would appreciate a few more bids.

Lucien would, too.

Tsecha doesn't get this whole auction thing.

Niall is bemused.

John is pondering acting as a shill, even though he knows Jani would kill him.

Note the big-eyed puppy icon.

I thought about bidding but here were my issues

- there is no information available about shipping internationally 0 ie can it happen, and if so what the cost would be
- i have to register to login to get any pertinent information like the above
- i have all your Jani Kilian books (yay for me!)
- i dont think the extras would get past customs for me

And I imagine anyone else outside the US would have the same issues.

But I *did* think about it

Thanks for thinking about it. And for buying all the books!

I will let the organizers know that the need to register prevents some folks from finding out the info they need to decide whether they even want to bid. I also wonder whether the need to register is tied in with the fundraising aspect of the exercise--maybe it's a way to keep track of buyers?

but they forced me to bid anyway...

Does this mean we're developing an Auction Relationship?!?

That your work and your causes are just is a subject I have never broached. I merely alluded to the use of infantile canine ocular devices as an unjust medium to invoke a favorable response. In short, that's cheating!

Well...yeah.
