ksmithI don't watch the Channel Formerly Known As Sci Fi because it's part of a premium channel package I don't get, but I haven't heard many good things so I don't know if I'm missing much.
This name change kinda confirms it.

Well, others are saying things like:
The new name reflects Syfy's broad range of "imagination-based entertainment beyond just the traditional sci-fi genre, including fantasy, supernatural, paranormal, reality, mystery, action and adventure," the network said in a press release presumably written by the same gang of idiots who decided Syfy wouldn't immediately conjure up images of STDs.
