Monday this 'n' that
Nov. 17th, 2008 07:42 pmSnowing outside. Flurries really, sugarcoating everything. Parts of western Michigan and northern Indiana could get up to 8 inches of lake effect, so I really shouldn't complain. But I will.
A dog that eats a strip of packing tape is a dog that will likely chuck it right back up. Along with whatever else happens to be in his stomach at the time. Yea.
Had a good think when I awoke this morning. Took a deep breath, and asked for two more weeks for the book. Got it. Two more weeks. Two more weekends.

Date: 2008-11-18 03:06 am (UTC)I almost got a job in Allegan Michigan. Every winter, I thank my lucky stars I didn't get it.
Lake effect--not my favorite phrase either. Luckily I'm on the western shore. The wind usually has to blow just the right way for me to get hit.

Date: 2008-11-18 03:13 am (UTC)I have to admit, though, the ice storms we get down here in Virginia are actually worse than the snow - they never salt the roads and no one can drive in either ice or proper snow. I drove for almost ten years in Michigan winters and never had a problem. First winter down here I put my car into a tree because of unsalted ice.
