Snowing outside. Flurries really, sugarcoating everything. Parts of western Michigan and northern Indiana could get up to 8 inches of lake effect, so I really shouldn't complain. But I will.

A dog that eats a strip of packing tape is a dog that will likely chuck it right back up. Along with whatever else happens to be in his stomach at the time. Yea.

Had a good think when I awoke this morning. Took a deep breath, and asked for two more weeks for the book. Got it. Two more weeks. Two more weekends.

Friendsfriends drive-by: Lake effect snow. *shudder* Now there's a phrase I don't miss! That would be why I no longer live in western Michigan. :)

Thanks for passing through!

I almost got a job in Allegan Michigan. Every winter, I thank my lucky stars I didn't get it.

Lake effect--not my favorite phrase either. Luckily I'm on the western shore. The wind usually has to blow just the right way for me to get hit.

Ew, endless cornfields, Chicago's smog *and* lake effect snow. You dodged a bullet.

I have to admit, though, the ice storms we get down here in Virginia are actually worse than the snow - they never salt the roads and no one can drive in either ice or proper snow. I drove for almost ten years in Michigan winters and never had a problem. First winter down here I put my car into a tree because of unsalted ice.
