Honestly, I love that movie. I think it's one of the best super-hero flicks, full stop. I own it on DVD and will rewatch it from time to time just for the hell of it.
Also, Gary Oldman? Love him in that role. Especially since, for a change, he's playing one of the few non-insane roles in the movie.
Me too. I love Gary Oldman anyway. He's really awesome. Any actor that can be convincingly a drug addicted, corrupt policeman, a misguided, but delicious reverend, and then become a scarred and disgusting psychopath that you can't help but think deserves to be consumed by a cannibal (oh and while doing, convince you that he's three separate people) is a fantastic actor.
Yeah, I'll watch almost anything he's in. Wouldn't have minded to see him Hannibal except that I've never really been able to get into the Lecter stories.
As I often do not when Gary Oldman shows up on screen, I initially didn't recognize him in that first moment in Batman Begins. It didn't matter, because that man on the screen was so *perfectly* Gordon that he quite literally brought tears to my eyes. It was only in the several long seconds afterward that I realized, My *God*, that's Gary Oldman!
