Shoe-gazing? Emo? Slo-mo? Whichever. battle_of_one had mentioned Trespassers William in another post, and since I'm always looking for Music That Won't Distract Me Whilst I Write, I checked them out on iTunes. Liked what I heard, and bought Having last night. If the damned download hadn't been so slow**--it took over an hour to download the single album--I probably would have scooped up all their releases.

Listened to TW on the way in to work. The music was a perfect mesh with the weather, which was grey and cloudy, with a few drops hitting the windshield. It sounds a downer, but it really wasn't. I found it pretty relaxing.



**Yes, I have DSL, but things have been quirky lately. Friend on another list gave me a link to use to check my download speed.

My DSL has been slooow too, I thought it was just my computer lugging down on something running in the background (or a ploy by Qwest to get me to buy their ultra fast DSL for a million dollars a month).

Mine is still slow. I'm bought another TW album, and the songs are taking 5 minutes each to download. What a pain.

Someone on another list mentioned that Covad in the Midwest was having some difficulty, and that could have been affecting things. If that's the case, there's still a problem.

Some randomly connecting neurons have produced the (possibly erroneous) information that Aberdeen is either the same group as Trespassers William, or some of the same people, or is otherwise related and/or similar.

This is a new type of music for me, so I haven't heard of many of the musicians/bands.
