Cool, sunny morning. Don't have to go to work tomorrow--yea! Trip prep is on tap, as well as odd chores. I want to weed through my shoes and bag the ones that I can't wear anymore. The ones that can't accommodate the orthotics. I am guessing that half my shoes will go, if not more.

Then I can get the overflow out from under the bed and into the shoe racks in the closet. I know I sound like Imelda Marcos. If Imelda wore Earth shoes, maybe.

After that, I'll clean the refrigerator. After that, no more chores.

Sixteen pairs of shoes pulled out of the closet and from under the bed. Some are pretty old and just plain don't fit anymore, but others have only been worn a few times. Tucked them into a box. I'll either donate them to a clothing drive or dip a toe into eBay.

Before I could move the box o' shoes, I had to shift things around in the spare room. Pulled out the bags of drying coriander and sage and harvested seeds and leaves. Wound up with a 300 ml container of each. Now I need to find recipes that use coriander.

Moved shoes to the spare room. Refrigerator is next...or I could clean out the spare room closet. There are shirts in there that I haven't worn in over a year. Time for the donation bag, I think.

It's windy and sunny. Would like to sit out on the deck this afternoon, so. Better get back to work.

...don't slide out the produce drawers in order to rinse them in the sink, because then you will see the stuff underneath. And the drippy sticky that flowed behind. Then the next thing you know, you'll be pulling shelves and taking glass shelving downstairs to the laundry sink so you can soap it up and rinse with impunity. Then you'll swab the whole inside with bleachy cleaner.

That refrigerator is clean.

Freezer isn't bad, so will leave it for later.

I did not expect to do that today, but I am very glad that it's done. Am now sitting out on the deck with a bottle of Bell's Amber Ale, which tastes damned good. It's a bit breezy, but sunny. Temps in the 70s. Beautiful beautiful. Dogs are outside, chewing their weekly bones.

Ribeye steak later. And I don't have to go back to work until next week. And my refrigerator is *clean*.

Gaby just came over. She wanted her head rubbed.

I could use about a month of this.

Blasted weather.

Steak tasted good. I grilled it atop the stove and served it with mish-mashed potatoes, which this time consisted of leftover mashed potatoes mixed with leftover whole kernel corn and strips of roasted red pepper, all mixed together and cooked in the grill pan after I removed the steak.

Full.
