I know January is the official "post-holiday ZOMG diet month," but the obviously-doctored bare belly ads that keep cropping up on Every. Flipping. Website. I. Visit. can disappear anytime now. I was hoping for this month, but I'm still seeing them.

Looks like Chicago will have its very own Comicon starting in 2010:

The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) will debut the weekend of 16-18 April 2010, at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago. The new show will be structured in the spirit of NYCC which Reed launched in 2006.


I think this is really cool. I have never been to a Comicon, but most all my writer friends have. They seem to have become the places to see and be seen, and more and more publishers are making it a point to attend them.
