There's a disturbance in the Force, Luke
Jun. 17th, 2006 06:08 pmThings just seem off today, both offline and on. Disruptions in peoples' lives, and a general snarliness. I hope it all settles soon.
I don't yet appreciate some peoples' genius. I'm sure that I am missing something as a result, but I will try to cope.
Got through the dental appointment relatively unscathed. Back in 6 months. Yes, I set up another 8 am on Saturday because much as I hate to get up and make myself presentable at that hour on a weekend, the traffic is minimal and I actually enjoy the drive.
The day blew past at speed, mostly because King spent the day inside due to the heat. King is not an inside dog. In between naps in front of the kitchen sink--where a prime A/C vent is located--shoes were grabbed and books plucked off shelves for games of indoor tag. Attempts at discipline were met with tail wags and 'oh, you're not really mad at ME, are you?' and lolling tongues mere inches from one's face. Luckily, it has cooled off to the 70s--yes, sometimes it really is cooler by the lake. Himself is back outside for the squirrels and jays to deal with.
