ksmithA few minutes after I posted, the power went out. It came back on around 530am. Comcast was still out when I left to come to work. I had to detour around fallen wires, and there are trees down everywhere. I don't know what happened--microburst, an actual touch-down. The winds ripped through for several minutes just before the power went out, so the damage must have occurred then.
I was thisclose to losing stuff in the fridge--the thermometer had just risen above 40F when the power came back on. Deep freeze looked ok.
I'd had a load of laundry in the washer. Finished that up this morning.
If the power hadn't come back on, I'm not sure what I would have done with the pups. Record-setting heat expected today, so outdoors wouldn't be an option. But with the A/C out, indoors would be like an oven.
If cable doesn't come back, could be a quiet weekend. OTOH, I could get a lot of stuff done....
