Dreamed about traveling to an execution. Not mine. Someone else's. Someone I knew. But the group I was traveling with kept running into delays. I don't believe we ever got there.

I've dreamed about being late for classes, convention panels, planes, trains. This one was a first. I could have done without.

Eeep. That one would freak me out a bit.

Or a lot, depending on whose execution.

It was weird. Everyone in the group knew him. A former coworker. A man. No one talked about what happened, but I didn't get the sense that any of us thought he wasn't guilty.

There's a story in there somewhere.

The good news is we already knew you were weird, Kris, and we love you anyway.

The bad news is what came to you is your story and only you can write it.

Ta!

I've had dreams like that. Yikes. They're never pleasant. My sympathies--and my celebration that it was only a dream. That's what I say to myself (sometimes for the better part of a day) when I have a dream like that.

They do hang in the back of your mind, like any unpleasant memory. Very glad to wake up and realize "Just a dream."
