After lunch, I went out to the garage to work on Kuro. All I was going to do was vacuum his floors, then install the new all-weather mats.

Yeah.

I've told the story of how finding the right place in the office to install the new UPS led to my cleaning the entire room. This wasn't quite as bad, but only because I don't have the patience to detail the inside of a car. I found all these car cleaning concoctions under the kitchen sink, in the garage. They were years old, and some of them had been through repeated freeze/thaw cycles, but they all seemed to work. Since the dealership had washed Kuro, I applied a finishing coat of polish. Vacuumed the inside, then cleaned the dashboard etc with vinyl cleaner. Spot-cleaned the upholstery. Washed the windows. Applied rust-eating primer to the stone dings on the hood. Oh yeah, and installed the new mats.

While various things dried, I cleaned out the mess under the kitchen sink. Bottles and spray cans are no longer balanced atop one another, non-kitchen cleaners have been removed, and I know where everything is now.

I also vacuumed the house.

My feet hurt. And I am wiped.

Not going to gloat about the various achievements, because when I did that two weeks ago, Gaby got sick. So no gloating. I do not necessarily rule, and you do not need to fear me.

Pretty happy about getting all that done, though.

Wow. I'm impressed. My feet ache, too, but only from running errands and losing two hours in Ikea (why are their clocks wrong? oh.)

I've never been to an IKEA store, but I can understand how one could lose track of time there.

Do they have their clocks set to Swedish time?

Nope. But it was 6pm on the dot when I thought it was around 4-something, which is why I disbelieving.
