My problem is that I've built up too many outlets. I have a Yahoo group, which is seldom busy but that I still check on. My SFFNet newsgroup. Other people's SFFNet newsgroups. The other lists I subscribe to.
There is an addiction factor. Unless I'm so busy I lose track of time, I need to check emails and such several times a day or I feel deprived and out-of-sorts.
I've wondered if it's an addiction factor, or rather a very very tempting procrastination device.
It is weird though how I get to itching (metaphorically) if I've been offline a while, unless I'm out of the house and actually doing things. That part strikes me as addiction, and can be bothersome.

Date: 2005-03-06 06:18 am (UTC)The same thing happens to me. Gosh, I think, I have so much work to do; I'll just take 5 minutes. . . .and then it is 30 minutes later.
