Watched it last night, and again this evening. Twice. Cried in the same place even when I knew what was coming.

They needed a *good* actress for this, and Suranne Jones was very, very good. Matt Smith was good as well. MyGod, but how the level of acting has ramped up since the old days.

They clicked very well.

And yes, seeing her side. Because for the life of that series, I don't think that's ever been explored. One new thing left to be mined, one undiscovered gem, and Gaiman found it.
