Getting a shot of the peroxide-based contact lens cleaner in your eye.

Ow.

Phoned the eye doctor. I'm not the first person to have done this. I rinsed like mad, and will keep an eye on things, so to speak. And glasses. We're wearing the glasses today.

It's much better now. But before it felt better, it migrated into my sinuses, so my right nostril and the right side of my throat felt a little sore.

I stashed the peroxide cleaner bottle in a different place than the rinse-that's-ok-in-the-eye bottle so that I don't mix them up again.

I also discovered that it is wise to be very thorough about washing your hands after handling jalapeño peppers, just in case you rub your eye afterward; the capsaicin-bearing oil will happily settle in the lenses.
