I ordered myself a Mom's Day gift from Peet's--2 lbs Major Dickason's Blend--because the gift included a half-dozen Recchiuti brownies. I figure if they taste as good as the *ZOMG extremely rich* hot chocolate, they will be good brownies.

And I'm a mom, kinda. The pups think so.

Brownies tend to be all over the place.

That hot chocolate is kinda waaay above the norm, so if the brownies are above-average, I'll be happy.

Understand that I am seriously spoiled...Recchiuti is in the Ferry Building Marketplace, and outside is often the Farmers Market...with many bakers present, several of which produce excellent brownies...made for immediate sale, rather than packaging and sale/shipping.

Shipping/age does impact flavor and chewiness. But, I am still looking forward to giving these a try.

I first found it in a grocery store. Liked it a lot. Oddly enough, ordered the fresher-roasted stuff directly from Peet's, and didn't like it as much. It seemed weaker. But my old coffeemaker was going south at the time, so maybe that was the reason.
