Stuck with Firefox all weekend. Hard drive didn't race once.

1) Other than annoyance, is there a reason to run NoScript? Are Macs vulnerable to malicious script?

2) If Macs are not vulnerable, is there a way to turn off NoScript? I could simply be looking in the wrong place, but I can't find it.

I, for one, love NoScript. It prevents things that auto-play on websites, and keeps the tracking/cookies down.

Can I get rid of the yellow bars?

The thing that bugs me about NoScript is that it's just so damned intrusive. If I could figure out how to pick my options so that I could get rid of the yellow bars and eliminate the need to reallow pages over and over and over, I'd like it more. Maybe.

Hmm. I just have the one yellow bar at the bottom of the page, with the "options" button at the extreme right. In that menu, there's an "Options" choice at the top, where I can fiddle around.

If you want to disable it, if you go to Tools->Add-ons, which will open the list of add-ons. Then select No Script and choose disable and restart FF. There are other options for cookie tracking and what not if you feel you need them. I don't like NS for the same reason you don't.
