I think Pirates of the Caribbean should have stopped at movie the first. It ended at the right place all around.

The thing is, I had a soft spot for Norrington, and it was in PotC 1 that he ended up best. He lost Keira of the Impossible Neck, but he still had his command and his honor. I didn't like seeing him down and out.

This, yes. The only positive thing about Norrington in PotC2 was that Jack Davenport looks damned good scruffy. Otherwise? I hated what they did to and with him. Complete waste of a great character, and a good actor.
