I made the switch to Macs in 2004. It's only taken me 7 years to learn the Mac equivalents of Cntrl-Home/Cntrl-End (skipping to the top and bottom of a document).
I got my first Mac a little over a year ago. I still haven't figured that out, either, nor how to skip from the end to the beginning of a line, or vice-versa. It's intensely frustrating - AND!!! what works in Safari does NOT seem to work in the NeoOffice word processor. ARGH!!!
I'll try those; I expect them not to work in NeoOffice. I think I did come across them awhile back & it didn't work. But I'll try them anyway, my memory's rotten, maybe it was others. Thanks!

To go to the top of a document: fn-command-left arrow
To go to the bottom of a document: fn-command-rt arrow
Start of a line: fn-left arrow
end of a line: fn-rt arrow
At least, this is what works for Word v.X
