ksmithYesterday, temps were in the high 40s/lo 50s. I wore shorts indoors, and even wore them when I went to check the mail. Opened windows to let in the fresh air.
Today, not so much. The temp was around 32F this morning, and is expected to drop into the 20s. It's grey and blustery, and the wind that pushes through the gaps in the old windows has a bite to it. At least they're not expecting much snow, if any, over the next week. That will probably hold off until I get back to work.
New Year's proved pretty quiet, I think because of the wind. A few folks shot off cannon crackers, which upset King, but the noise wasn't constant so he settled quickly. Gaby slept right through them. The noise has to be really loud--think house-rattling thunder claps--to upset her.
It's a work at home day. Nothing special planned. Lots of leftovers in the fridge, so no fancy New Year's dinner. Rather dull day, actually. The pups are napping, and I'm pondering another cup of coffee. Maybe a DVD later. The Lion In Winter.
