A lovely short film (3 and a half minutes) of the NYC blizzard, by way of Roger Ebert's Twitter feed.

I love the music.

Of course you love the music; it's Trent Reznor! (ahem, sorry, my 16-year fandom erupted). Cool video. Looks very familiar, we used to get this regularly every winter in Omaha, usually several times. During the 90s drought, we got used to dry winters; last winter was a BIG surprise, heh heh.

I hope you and yours were inside, warm, and fully stocked with snowed-in goodies.

I played the video twice, then bought the Social Network soundtrack.

The 10 inches or so that we got Saturday night into Sunday fell within about 6 hours. I looked outside at 1am Sunday morning, and got the shock of my life. Where did that stuff come from?

It's times like that when you give thanks for the roof over your head.

Wonderful little film. And now, all I can think of is that poor little doggie almost literally freezes his little jewels off. :(

But a lovely little film. :-) Thanks so much for posting it.

His bottom looked so strange--almost shiny--that I thought at first he was wearing wind pants. Then I wondered how he could go to the bathroom if he was.

He didn't seem uncomfortable. Maybe he was numb.

Oh, that was lovely! Thank you for sharing.

And damn, now I need to go download the soundtrack to the Social Network.

That soundtrack is nice. What I've listened to so far is as far removed from NIN as I can imagine. Lovely stuff.

I do like NIN. But it is angry, broken. This stuff's melancholy yet calming.

I've liked Reznor and NIN since I saw him open for Peter Murphy many, many years ago. But yes, it's angry, often violent music. Good for when you're writing angst, or the occasional fight scene. Nice to see him branching out into gentler fare. Could be he's mellowing as he gets older.
