Saturday morning

Fine snow is falling. It started sometime after 2am--so far, it looks like a scant two inches of wettish stuff on the deck. Temp is hovering around 30F, which I guess makes for a wetter snow.

King is taking it in stride, but Yukon Gaby is thrilled. She wanted to play when I let her out at 6am. I let her out again at 715am as I prepped breakfast, and had a hard time getting her back inside. After she ate, she wanted OUT! immediately, and she's been out ever since. There's Squirrel Patrol, after all, followed by What's That Smell Over Here and If I Sit Here Very Quiet, Maybe Something Will Come Along That I Can Kill.

King has been in and out, but he is a Hothouse Flower and therefore mostly wants IN. Unfortunately, that means that when he feels playful, I'm the one he wants to play with, and I have work to do. He's lying on his bed chewing on a toy at the moment, which I hope means that a long nap may happen any time now.

Plows have been through. I want to put off shoveling as long as I can.

It's weird that you got snow and we won't. I hope this isn't like that winter when all the snow slid down Lake Michigan and snuck past us through Ind/Ohio. Not a winter person, but we need a snow pack!

We wound up with 2.5, 3 inches tops. Not sure when it's supposed to snow again. I heard that the IN snow belt is supposed to get hit with a few more inches.

We need snow. We had a dry fall, and the lake level is low. I just wish I didn't have to drive in it.
