*sigh* since I'll be dumping my cable in about 9 days in favor of streaming Netflix (just spent two weeks catching up on ALL the modern-day Doctor Whos and Torchwoods), Il'l have to wait until this gets there for streaming. *sigh* Thanks for the heads-up, anyway!

Every time I think about dumping cable, I realize that I watch mostly live sports. Episodic series/movies, not as much. Maybe there are online subs for live sports, but I don't have the time to search right now. If there were, I would have to revisit.

I don't subscribe to the channel package with BBC-America, so there's a couple days' delay before I can watch New Who via On Demand. Not complaining--I was happy to be able to watch it w/o needing to sign up for yet more channels.

I don't watch sports at all. On reflection, I realized there are very few TV shows I cannot miss - well, technically, I could live without ALL of them, lol. I keep the TV on sometimes just for the background noise. Well, I have a nice stereo and a jiilion music CDs so that's just silly. And though some people complain it's too small, Netflix's selection list is good enough for me. Any it doesn't have that I MUST watch, I can get from Blockbuster or the library. I need to stop supporting the cable industry that has worked NOT AT ALL to make itself more attractive in this highly competitive era we're in.
