Day of rest

Two loads laundry. Emptied the recycling bins. Straightened dining room--cleaned off table, added magazines and catalogs to the recycle bin, dusted. Cleaned top of fridge and bakers rack--never get a white bakers rack, or if you do, get one with an easy to clean finish.

Stripped bed, but have yet to make it up. Tossed old cut flowers, and cleaned vases. Will set out small pumpkins as decoration instead because they are cheaper and do not shed petals.

I wanted to finish chores before noon, but I still have banana bread to bake so I had better get to it. Then I will have an early dinner. The weather continues grand, if a little cool. I do want to sit outside for a while, but we'll see how it goes.

Monday tomorrow. Yea. So much for the damned weekend.

I had a nice hour, off and on. Then neighbor started burning, and the breeze carried the smoke across my backyard. I tried to stick it out, but my eyes and throat started to burn. Inside now.

I read about it once. The concept boggled.
