King has been irritating the snot out of me all evening--bugging me as I ate dinner, as I typed. Losing toys under the couch, then Just Standing There in a most obtrusive way until I finally gave up and got the damned things out from under. Sitting in front of me and Staring, then getting up and sitting down again in case I didn't notice him the first time.

Barking in the house. That was fun.

So he falls asleep on the couch, facing me, the lamplight shining in his face. So of course I turn off the lamp, even though it means I can barely see my damned keyboard.
