ksmithHad about 200 pages remaining of thriller discussed here. Finished it last night...make that this morning, around 1am. Paid for it today, yes I did.
I was right about Vulnerable Supporting Character. She did indeed possess hidden depths. Dark depths. Swirling eddies and still places where things collected and grew. She needed those qualities, and used them when appropriate. I liked her more by story's end. I can pat myself on the back that I saw it coming.
Villain is supposedly dead, but we did not see the body. To paraphrase Bujold, I'll believe he's gone when I see him dead and rotted.
On to something else. Maybe the new Martin Cruz Smith...
