It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.

Kris, how did you get the pictures to come up. When I retried to report to my LJ, I got the big plan purple square with writing on it and no photo links...and that's what Cdozo got, too.

I'd rather have the faces, esp. since part of the text refers to them.

I didn't do anything special. I used the Post This To Your Journal button at the bottom of the post, and it all just showed up. I can even see it on an ancient version of IE, as well as Safari. I don't remember if I tried FF.

It's interesting because I see the faces on yours and Terie Garrison's, but just the purple square on mine and Carol's. Oh well. Better just do it--half-done is at least begun.
