Schizy weather this week. 60s on Monday. 90F on Tuesday. Back to the 60s on Wednesday. 80s today. 60s expected for the weekend. If you have a sinus condition, I would say you're feeling it.
Roofers dropped off the primed fascia and took down the old rotted boards. I assume they will finish tomorrow, if rain isn't an issue.
Houses know when you have money. But sometimes they don't care whether you have it or not.
I had wanted to see the New Look Hawaii 5-0 because James Marsters was the bad guy. I missed it the night it premiered, so I watched it tonight via On Demand. Good dialogue at times, and James Caan's son--I assume it's his son because there is a resemblance but I forgot names--is a good actor. But the story moved so quickly and the camera work was such that I barely recognized Marsters. They lost me with the "no rules" approach--no reason to finesse and investigate when you can just beat the answers out of people. The old series--cue creaky rocking chair here--had its flaws, but there was often a chess-like give and take between McGarrett and the villain--especially Wo Fat--and I'm seeing the violence here but not so much with the chess. I think it's going to try to take up where 24 left off. Could be wrong, but I doubt I will watch it again...unless they bring back Wo Fat.

Date: 2010-09-25 07:24 pm (UTC)I'll try a few more eps but if it continues with that fast pace and vigilante style of operating all the pretty Hawaiian scenery won't be enough for me to continue with it.

PS I like "Bones" for the dialogue as they talk about topics not usually found on tv shows and love Masterpiece Mystery. Come to think of it, Inspector Lewis is a spinoff of Morse and the creators are very respectful of the source material unlike Kurtzman & co.
