Sunday afternoon

Perfect day. 70s, breezy, and not a cloud to be seen. I finished the most pressing chores before noon. Load of laundry. Banana bread bakeage. Tomato prep and freeze. I should vacuum, but...I don't want to.
I am going to spend the afternoon outside on the deck. As long as the laptop battery lasts. Or maybe I'll dig a cord out of the garage.

It's one of those days when you just don't want to go inside.

I am longing for such a day here. Probably just as well it's hot and humid, because I have a boatload of work to do.

I've strung the electric cord from the outside outlet to the laptop. No way I want to be inside--there are too few of these days left that I can enjoy. The pups are resting, at least for now. Distant sounds of other people working outside. And I saw the resident hummingbird, which seems to have taken a liking to my flowers.

Later, there will be a glass of wine, a roast beef sandwich, and either the banana bread or a dish of fresh berries w/ yogurt. I really should eat those berries.

And now I really need to take the nearest exit ramp off the information highway...
