Snow

About 15" since last night, I'm guessing. Not a world record, but enough to occupy my day. I shoveled/cleared about 2/3 of the driveway--it's over 80' long and very wide at the top, so it takes a while--part of the deck, both front and rear sidewalks, and King's kennel. Tomorrow, assuming my back is recovered, I'll clear the rest of the driveway and maybe rake the roof.

Yes, the new icon is part of my front yard after the worst of the snow had passed.

Too tired to post much. I should save my energy for the book, I guess...

It's been a weekend, that's for sure.

I'm through with snow removal for the day. Did what I could with the driveway--plenty of room except for down at the end where the plowers piled stuff in just the right fashion to cut two-three feet of width off the opening. I always try to back into the garage--should make that initial crank-around into the driveway exciting.

Cleared part of the deck. Took down holiday stuff--a tad late, but there you go--and made sure the sidewalks were still passable.

I need to write this afternoon, I really do...

Me too. I pulled out the revised outline for my book and was shocked to see I haven't really worked on it in almost 3 weeks. I'm blaming all the copywriting jobs I've had and the "Pineapple Express" which roared through California nearly washing us all away. So why do I still feel guilty-lazy?

I've concluded that it doesn't matter what I do or how much. On some level, if it isn't fiction writing, it doesn't count. Not fair, and doesn't do much for the sanity quotient.

But if I was sane, I wouldn't have started this merry dance in the first place...
