About 15" since last night, I'm guessing. Not a world record, but enough to occupy my day. I shoveled/cleared about 2/3 of the driveway--it's over 80' long and very wide at the top, so it takes a while--part of the deck, both front and rear sidewalks, and King's kennel. Tomorrow, assuming my back is recovered, I'll clear the rest of the driveway and maybe rake the roof.

Yes, the new icon is part of my front yard after the worst of the snow had passed.

Too tired to post much. I should save my energy for the book, I guess...

We ended up with about ten inches, and boy howdy! is it cold here. It is 9 degrees right now; but at least the sun's out. I'm about to head out to shovel the driveway once again (I did it twice yesterday). Ah, the joys of a midwestern winter!

Also 9F here. according to the weather station in the living room.

I should go out and see if the paper delivery folk got through. The Tribune actually delivered yesterday--I was amazed. The Other Paper, as usual when more than 4" falls, missed.

Then I need to brush off the deck, see how much more I can take off the driveway, and possibly rake the roof. Not looking forward to the latter, as all the stuff I rake down will fall onto the sidewalks and deck in places where I just can't ignore it. Why did these people build the sidewalks so close to the house...?

My back is stiff. I'm still tired, and I need to work on the book. It would be nice if this put the capper on winter storms for the season, but somehow I'm not optimistic.
