Saturday morning

Raining. Rained all night, with thunder and lightning to boot, which to King means THE WORLD IS ENDING, MOM, and if he can't sleep, nobody sleeps, and I was sooo tired. Tried to make room for him behind the couch, behind my bed, nice dark places where he could hide, but no, he wanted to get on *my* bed. I know there are folks who would be fine with this, and I might be, too, if King were a different dog. But...



...he tends to lose a little control when he gets agitated/excited, resulting in anal gland secretion getting spread about. Then there's the fact that he's not content to just lie on the bed. He has to keep moving--he paces, plays with the pillows, shoves his head under my arm, none of which play a part in a good night's sleep last I checked. Finally, the thunder let up enough and I managed to get King to lie at the foot of the bed. Got a few hours of sleep. I'm still tired and damn I didn't need this now.

It's going to rain for a few more hours. One of the basement window wells is leaking, which is usually what happens as the ground gets saturated. Then the heat will set in again. It's only supposed to hit 80F here tomorrow, though, which will feel like a cold snap.

Massage today. I really need it, though I may fall asleep on the table...

As long as your RMT doesn't take it personally, I find passing out during a massage can be very relaxing.
