Toews did well again.

Poor Salo.

I wore my Toews jersey. Fat lot of good it did. I think it may be cursed. I should burn it before the next game, turn my back on the lot of them. That'll shake them up.

Fan logic. I'll be tossing victims into volcanoes next.

Poor Salo indeed. The poor guy couldn't move. The Canuck who got hit in the head with Byflugien's (sp??????) stick didn't fare too well, either. Damn, but scalp wounds don't half bleed.

When Luongo's on, he's on. And your team just did what ours had done the game before, and even the Sharks went down 7-1, and lost another game by putting it in their own net.

Will be thinking of you during tomorrow's game. We have come back before when down 3-1, so we haven't given up hope yet. (We have a weird all-or-nothing team.)

If the Hawks make it to the Cup final, I'll cheer for them.

If your guys make it to the Cup Final, I will cheer for them as well. Western Conference! I am sick and tired of Versus' East Coast bias. When the Caps were in it, oh, they were going to go unbeaten all the way through to the Final. And when they lost, now it's Sid the Kid and the Pens. I know they're the defending champs, but that didn't bother the commentators when the Caps were still in it. The Western Conference could be in another universe for all they play it up.

Bruins failed in OT, and have lost a couple more major players. Looks like a "Last Man Standing" Cup this year.

Our wounded are pretty much all back. It's between the ears where they lose it. Game 4, they were the freakin' Mongol hoards on skates. They were everywhere, and they were brutal. This last game? "Is this a stick? Wow, look at the ice! What the puck? Oh look--shiny! Dandelion break!"

That sounds like what happened to the Sharks in Game Four against Detroit. Sometimes, teams get cocky when they've got a substantial lead, and think they don't have to show up and play. It's how they play in the game after a big loss that's important. Either they'll pull together and come back hard, or they'll fall apart and go even deeper into the hole.

One of the Hawks announcers says that the Hawks play better on the road. They simplify their game, and don't try to get cute or complicated. Sort of negates the Home Ice advantage, but no one ever said it was logical, I guess. We'll see what happens tomorrow night in Vancouver.
