Ditto for the Bruins. They're holding on to 8th place by the proverbial skin of their teeth -- and we know about hockey players and teeth . . .

The Hawks are in 2nd place in the West--though they may have slipped to 3rd by now--but that's due to the fact that they frontloaded wins. They lost something over the Olympic break, and I'm not sure they have the experience to get it back.

I could be wrong. They beat Vancouver a few days ago, and made it seem easy. Then they rolled over for the Blue Jackets. We won't even discuss the goalie situation, which may be the final straw.
