Update on the patient

King is out of surgery, and was waking up when Vet phoned me. I bring him home this afternoon, along with antibiotics and pain meds. I'll take him in Friday for a progress check.

Vet said that all the mass came out, which is a good thing. All of King's bloodwork was normal, which was also good. Biopsy results in a few days. Fingers crossed, though as I said, Vet feels she got it all, and there were no other such masses on King's body. There are a number of benign things that it could be. I won't think about the other stuff unless it becomes an issue.

I'm hoping King leaves the bandages alone, but I'll be surprised if he does. There may be an interesting new collar in his future.

Went home at lunch to let Gaby out. She hadn't touched her breakfast, and was looking for King in different parts of the house. She's missing a little of her pop. Doesn't know where her buddy is.

I missed your initial post about this. Sending good thoughts to you and to King.

Hopefully it's just a fatty tumor. But if he has to wear the cone of shame, I think you should use your glue gun to good effect adn give him some style :D

Glad ot hear he's out and doing well.

No cone of shame at this point. Vet said that King is a little too big for one of those, but there is a collar shaped like an inner tube that might work for him if needed.

He's finally sleeping. Poor guy.
