Monday

My left eyelid is twitching, a sign that pressures are increasing even though I may not be aware of them doing so. I mean, I actually feel that things have eased up a bit, or at least changed direction, over the last month. Ramped up, no. I really don't feel that they have.

But I have this twitch...

New CDs arrived this weekend, the latest REM and U2 along with a John Lennon compilation. Finally have my very own copy of No. 9 Dream...

Oh Bowakowa
Pousse pousse

...and if anyone can tell me if those words have actual meaning or are simply Lennoneque gibberish, I would be grateful. Singing foreign words the meanings of which I do not know inspires fear that someone has tricked me into singing Bad Words, even though this is likely not the case.

Not much news on the ENDGAME front. I was Bad this weekend, frittering my time between a Buffy Season 7 marathon and the STARZ premiere of RotK. Did write a little last night, so we're over 24K words. My NaNoWriMo play-along didn't net me as much as I'd hoped--maybe 12K words or so. But November isn't done quite yet. We'll see how well we do tonight and tomorrow.

"Pousse pousse" means "push push" in French. Familiar (tu vs. vous) verb tense.
No idea on the first, though!

Thanks!

I think the "Bowakowa" is either gibberish or a phonetic transcription of a word. I did grab the lyrics from a lyrics website, and while they seemed to make sense as I followed along with the song, there might have been errors.

BTW, is your avatar a Gorey fantod?

Yup! Figbash, from The Raging Tide. (http://anguish.org/~greyson/gorey/index.shtml) Gorey was one of my favorite author/illustrators.

Er, nothing personal!

No prob! The Unstrung Harp is one of my favorite books about writing.

While you're checking out RotK reruns(?), have you read mollyringwraith's parodies on her LJ site?
