Plugging away
Nov. 24th, 2004 10:54 pmDoesnt everyone spend the night before T-giving first-drafting the next book?
The night air tasted sharp, as though it had flowed over ice on its way to the island. Jani tightened the fasteners of her weatherall's throatpiece, then worked her hands deeper into her pockets. Gloved though they were, they ached, as did her face, her feet. I used to run about in a t-shirt and trainers in weather like this. Back when she was thirteen, and impervious to weather. Back in her human days.

I know people who do that but they have multiple series so they can write a book in either with no problem, whereas books in the same series being written simultaneously sounds a bit too challenging to me...
Happy Thanxgiving!

That, too.

My normal speed is single digits as well, until the end. My best one-day production was 23 pages, but my brain felt like a wrung-out washrag afterwards.

Date: 2004-11-25 06:18 pm (UTC)I can't work on two things at the same time. I envy writers who can.
Glad you liked the clip, and Happy T-day to you, too, and to all who celebrate it!
