How on Earth did you accomplish that, given their 1970's era reg process?

Sorry I won't see you there, but I resent being referred to as a "coastal elite", and don't particularly want to spend my time at a Con run by a committee that thinks that way about me.

I filled out the online registration form and hit the "register" button, which kicked me over to PayPal.

They have online reg now? Wow.

Or are you talking WFC 2011? WFC 2010, as of last month, was six months behind on processing mail-in reg, and had refused to offer online reg.

I'm willing to risk it. WFC is my favorite convention, and likely my best/only shot this year at seeing arcaedia and my editor. If the con itself is a bust, there are still friends and the hotel bar. Those are the best parts of any con for me anyway.
