Feb. 12th, 2010 07:40 pmWhile I was waiting for my Apple appointment, I wandered over to the Sephora
store. That's usually dangerous, but I was good today and limited myself to
lip gloss and deep-discount skin balm. Then came lunch at Corner Bakery, a sandwich and
coffee and writing.
Then came Crate & Barrel. I had found some dishes I liked in the latest
catalog, but I wanted to see them in person before I bought them. There was
also a set of glass mixing bowls that I liked. Wound up getting both, along
with some gadgets--a small mortar and pestle, a citrus reamer, a little
knife for hard cheese. And last but not least, Bellini jam from Stonewall
Kitchens, a spread made with white peaches and prosecco. I had some of their
Strawberry Apple Rhubarb jam a few weeks ago, and it was sooo good that I
was eating it straight from the jar.
Then I came home, cleaned my desk and reinstalled the Base Station. Got my
wireless up and running (*see previous yea!!*), then packed away an old set of dishes to
make room for the new ones. Washed and stashed the new dishes and bowls.
Warmed up some bean soup for dinner. Now I'm watching the Olympics.
Tired. Satisfied, but tired. It's so nice to have wireless again.
