The Kong toys are proving more popular than I thought they would. I'll be sitting in here working, and from another part of the house, I will hear...remember that scene in, iirc, Barrayar, where Cordelia and Aral hear thunk thunk thunk through the walls as Lt. Koudelka learns to operate the sword stick they gave him? I hear the thunk thunk tumble of rubber on hardwood as Gaby tosses one of the Kongs. Then both she and King come in here and pester me because I am not supposed to be in here.

Now I'm being woofed at.

There is no peace.

Hurrah for Kongs. They are one of the few items in the house that my dog has NOT managed to destroy. When I hear the distinctive 'bonk' of Kong on kitchen floor, I know that he is not eating socks/tea-towels/soft furnishings...
