I've only ever detweeted one person, and that was because she was making a zillion random posts a day that were pretty much content-free.

I do the reverse--I'll go for a week at a time w/o posting. And I don't often Follow folks who follow me, mostly because a lot of them seem to be selling stuff.

I think on twitter like on lj, friending and unfriending, following and unfollowing, is less personal than it seems. (Says the person who regularly goes through and trims her reading lists whenever she feels a little overwhelmed ...)
