Totals for the last couple of nights. Didn't write at Windycon this past weekend, as I pretty much expected.

11/14:

Start: 16,728
End: 17,026, for a total of 298 words.

Last night:

Start: 17,026
End: 18,098, for a total of 1072 words. Leave it to Lucien to inspire wordage, even if the scene involved Jani and Val talking about him.

Overall, looks like I've managed 6,224 words (18,098-11,874) in two weeks, which ain't great but still counts as progress.

Lucien is one of the most interesting characters in there in my opinion anyways :)

I have a quick question: How do you do your word count? Do you trust the computer or do one of those "take three random lines, count words, divide by three" (or something similar) type of randomized manual counts? Just curious.

I let MacWord do the counting. One of the taskbars keeps a running tally.
