Wish you were here to celebrate with us, Kris. Virtual turkey, dressing, gravy, homemade cranberry sauce, ham, etc, etc. to you. (I had a baking...difficulty...tonight that I found a name for. After making the pumpkin-brownie volcano pie, I had leftover brownie batter...and nothing to put it in that was the right size. I had an outdated refrigerated piecrust (had forgotten it) and thought "Oh, I'll spread the brownie batter on it and roll it up and seal the ends, and then I'll have this nice sort of roll to slice when it's cold--all pretty." Only the old piecrust was no longer as flexible...and in the oven it split, with brownie oozing out. However, by dint of squinting at it catty-corner, I decided it looked like autumn leaves, the pattern of the pastry and the brownie, and thus deserved to be served as a dessert tomorrow, along with the other. It probably tastes OK.
