wiping dust off furniture
Oct. 29th, 2009 06:46 amI'm here. Missing posts like mad, I see. A version of WFC Bittercon on Twitter?
Cloudy but dry today. Rain all day tomorrow. We don't need anymore, but that's neither here nor there. Still enough leaves on the trees to remind that this has been one of the best falls ever, colorwise. I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that it was one of the cloudiest summers ever here? Only about half the sun we usually get. October has been worse, with only about a third of the sun.
Gaby continues OK on the new food. Fingers remain crossed.
Need coffee. Getting ready for work. Writing-wise, contemplating how to rework the bestest darling ever. Because the way it is just won't work anymore.
The writing, it is a bitch.

"Yes, it is," I say, and explain why.
She shakes her head of dreads and beads and says "This is not a comic novel."
"Humor rounds out the full array of emotional tension," I say.
"Humor is a copout," she says. She's now wearing Professor clothes, expensive but a little odd-looking, and has a gradebook in hand.

Yeah...except I think I have a plot now. Just need to organize the mess in the middle on my handy sheet-of-paper plotline diagram.
