I'm at that stage where all the packing and arranging is too much trouble and I'm thinking that I should just stay home and catch up on my sleep. I'll get over it, but I always go through it and it's a drag.
I've settled down a bit. I'll batch some things today instead of making multiple trips, and leave other things for when I get back next week.
The problem is that I need three months off just to do retrench and do stuff around the house that I want to do. It felt so good to clean that damned refrigerator. I'm ashamed to admit that it had been years since it had been gutted and cleaned like that.
It wasn't the real reason, but it's why I said we bought a new fridge last year after a roommate spilled a mess of I-forget-what down the inside of it where it pooled in the bottom. The real reason was that it was old (17 years) and an energy hog and the motor was shuddering loudly, but yeah, it had gotten to be a mess inside. Too many things to do and life to live, and a messy fridge annoys fussbudgets but doesn't do any real harm.
But I know how I feel when I've even cleaned and polished my shoes, so I know that feeling of accomplishment and pride.
If this tickly throat progressed any further, I will probably cancel my weekend trip. Maybe it's just dry air (fingers crossed) and not a flu bug.
