Much less so than here. It may seem to Americans that U.S.-style free enterprise -- private-sector, for-profit health insurance -- is naturally the most cost-effective way to pay for health care. But in fact, all the other payment systems are more efficient than ours.

Then, some folks went and analyzed how a public option would affect every congressional district in the US.

Thanks for posting that, Kris. I don't think it will affect the thinking of my Congresscritter that 109,000 uninsured people will be able to get health care coverage, but it's good to have numbers.

Oh, definitely there are people on both sides of the aisle who need a large clue-bat upside the head. The guy who used to be our Congressman, one of the few Dems who survived the Perrymandering of Texas though we were taken out of his district, is just as idiotic on this issue as our actual Congressman.
